An educator, consultant, and lifelong learner with nearly two decades of experience in Family and Consumer Science education. Throughout my career, I’ve created engaging, skills-based learning environments that have empowered students to succeed in life and beyond the classroom.
As a former teacher, coach, and FCCLA advisor, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students and teachers toward achieving their goals—whether in the classroom, on the soccer field, or at national competitions. My work focuses on blending creativity, practicality, and empathy to build connections and foster growth.
Currently, I provide professional development and consulting services for educators, specializing in teacher retention, curriculum development, and experiential learning strategies. I also host the Mr. Home Ec Podcast (formerly the Coyle Smith Education Podcast), where I connect with professionals across the country to share insights and advocate for Family and Consumer Sciences.
When I’m not working, I enjoy camping, sewing, and living creatively with my husband and two kids.
